Songs from the Big Chair

Is it just me or is Tears for Fears’ Songs from the Big Chair a great album?  For more than 20 years I have had it in my cranial catalogue of music.  I had the cassette for as many years, but it was only last weekend, on the sidewalk not far from the marathon, that I bought the CD and have started listening to it again.  And I think its great.  But I truly can’t tell if it is just the nostalgia talking.

YES! It is a great album, and not just a gigantic tune wedgie.

Actually, “The Hurting” is a much better album in my opinion. Of course, it’s the only one I still own from my bad 80’s hair days.

“All around me are familiar faces, worn out places…” It is a phenomenal album, indeed. In fact, that is why I had that one on CD before I had Songs From The Big Chair–I had both on cassette first of course.
