Synopsis: Emma, a first year journalism major, returns to her small hometown in Northern Maine following the recent suicide of one of her dearest friends, a popular high school senior whose religious family was vehemently opposed to his being being gay. Her personal and “professional” investigation follows an unconventional and very public path.

Synopsis: Mary Inigo Calkins, one of the first psychologists in the 1890s, strives to legitimize synesthesia (especially “color hearing”) in the eyes of her colleagues and the world.
