David A. Miller is a NYC-based director, playwright, and educator. David is currently Associate Professor of Theatre (acting, directing and playwriting) at Bloomsburg University and a resident director for Amphibian Stage Productions (Fort Worth, TX). He is former Artistic Director of The Artful Conspirators.
As an artist and/or educator, David has worked with Seattle Children's Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Festival, Annex Theatre, Wooden O Theatre, Printer's Devil Theater, George Street Playhouse, McCarter Theater, Hangar Theater, Syracuse Stage, Prospect Theatre Company, Vital Theatre Company, The New Acting Company, Dixon Place, and The Kennedy Center.
As a theatre educator for students ages 3 through retired, David has served as a teaching artist and as a leader & administrator. Leadership roles include Director of Educational Outreach at Seattle Children's Theatre, Director of the Theater Program at Manhattan College, Artistic Director of CityKids Repertory Company (NYC) and Director of Education at Roundabout Theatre Company (NYC). He has taught for Arts Horizons, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, City College's Graduate Program in Educational Theatre, Borough of Manhattan Community College, Kingsborough Community College (Brooklyn), Queens Community College and Wagner College (Staten Island).
